Bringing Back Some Summer

Now that the flakes have officially flown, ICTV thought it would be nice to bring a little summer back. Starting on Monday, October 15, ICTV’s Public Access channel will be replaying the whole 2018 Summer Concert Series. Two concerts will play each week in three regular timeslots: Mondays at 3:30pm; Thursdays at 5:30pm; and Saturdays at 7:30pm. Tune in each week for some music and memories from summer.

From the ICTV Archives

Each Wednesday at 5:30 pm and Saturday at 3:00pm, ICTV plays programs from the archives on the Public Access Channel. Coming up on Saturday, October 6, we will be replaying two Grand Rapids Area Library Programs: “Lost Towns of Minnesota,” followed by, “Lost Towns of Northern Minnesota.” The following week, October 10 and October 13, will feature the Grand Rapids Players production of, “Zombie Prom.” Keep an eye on ICTV’s schedule to see what’s coming out of the archive next.

Artificial Intelligence Meets Medicine

The latest presentation in Grand Itasca’s “Doc Talk” series took place on Tuesday, September 18 at the Itasca County Family YMCA. The presenter was Dr. Scott Johnson, OB/Gyn. He gave a presentation on the future of technology in medicine, including the use of artificial intelligence. During his presentation he discussed: some of the definitions involved with technology, information management, robotic surgery, artificial intelligence, and both what’s exciting and concerning about these technologies. ICTV staff was in the audience to record this presentation.
